About Shades

She came as the last of three kittens in a difficult birth, in which her brother lost half his tail. She was small and breathed poorly, so we feared she wouldn’t survive, but she proved us thoroughly wrong! It’s not clear exactly when and how it was decided, but Shades, or “Paddis” as she was often called at home, stayed with us. Like her mother she could be a little shy at times, but if there had been mischief, you could be sure it was the result of “tortie antics”! In the end she was ill and weak and had to leave us in May 2019.
