About Ranja
We had our first Finnish Hound, Max, for many years and had nothing but good experiences with him and the breed. After the German Shepherd Ronja had many health problems and in the end had to say goodbye, we looked for a new dog for a couple of years, considering various dogs without finding the right one. Then Ranja turned up: another Finnish Hound who, besides being an excellent hare hunter, was a little too fond of roe deer and was therefore to be sold. From her very first visit we were struck by how like Max she is, not only in looks but also in temperament and manner. She wasn’t used to cats, but has taken living with cats in her stride. She is incredibly kind, self-confident, steady with everything we come across and, all in all, simply the world’s finest lady!
