About Melody

Short of money during military service, we managed to scrape together enough to get Melody from Solbjørg Karlsen in Porsgrunn. She arrived by plane one spring day, and over the years she grew from being a little naive and sweet into the boss of the house. In 1994 she had a lovely litter of five little balls of cotton wool, but was later spayed. After a few years’ break from her show career, she started showing herself off again once she became a senior. That was the start of a fabulous “second round”, in which she took a string of BIS titles and one year became Cat of the Year in category IV. Sadly, she had to leave us in 2004 because of acute heart disease.
